Dear SePTEMBER LETTERS COMMUNITY,

A quote that had always resonated with us is from Brene Brown. It says, “One day you will tell your story and how you got through it. That story will be a part of someone else’s survival guide.”

We at September Letters have always believed in this quote sums up our mission and our belief in the power of connection. To showcase this, We wrote a book...We hope our book September Letters: Finding Strength and Connection in Sharing Our Stories becomes a tool in your toolbox.

We have found through creating this book that our stories unite us and help us through tough times. We are celebrating turning four! Look at what a community YOU have built. We are so proud of everyone who has shared a story, wrote a survival guide or read a letter that made them feel more connected.

A Letter of Embrace
and Release

In this heartfelt letter from Rachel Platten, she encourages herself to embrace self-love, grace, and vulnerability. Reflecting on her journey, she emphasizes the importance of letting go and trusting the process, especially as she prepares to release her first album in seven years. The letter highlights the significance of accepting both joy and pain, celebrating the power of surrender and the freedom that comes with it.

Ultimately, she reassures her future self that she is worthy of love and support, urging her to be proud of who she has become.

Everyone has a story.

We realize how vulnerable and strong sharing your story can be. When submitting your letter, you have the option to share your name or remain anonymous.

Your letter can be anything you’d like to share. An experience that shaped you, a poem that moved you, a song lyric that resonated with you, or something you did for yourself that you never thought possible. We ask you to focus on hope. It also can simply be your thoughts on the topic of this month or even a grateful list!

Your letter may just be the thing someone needs to carry around in their own back pocket. We can’t wait to hear your story.

September Letters
is a therapeutic letter
writing experience.

We hope to start a ripple effect of openness so others may feel comfortable to share their own story. The more we share, the more someone may hear their own journey and realize they are not alone.

Join us in opening this conversation. It's hard to categorize the complexity of what we feel, but we tried our hardest to help organize and direct you to the right collection of letters to read and engage with. Browse through and see what other people are feeling and experiencing.
