September Letters is a mental health awareness and letter writing experience.

September Letters is proud to partner with the Mental Health Coalition, as we work together to end the stigma surrounding mental health.

The Mental Health Coalition provides access to mental health resources via their Library. You can browse this database to learn about mental health, help a loved one, learn coping skills and seek support.

We all have mental health, and it’s more important now than ever that we take care of ourselves.

We hope to start a ripple effect of openness so others may feel comfortable to share their own story. The more we share, the more someone may hear their own journey and realize they are not alone. Join us in opening this conversation.

“ When I was a teenager, I found an article in a magazine.
This article was about a girl I did not know and had never met. Miraculously, I heard my own story in her words. This was the first time I realized, I wasn’t alone, and I wasn’t crazy. I carried that article in my back pocket for a long time. Years later, I came out with my own story and wrote an article for a magazine. A girl came up to me at a coffee shop and showed me she was carrying MY article in her own back pocket. This started September Letters.

September Letters is a chance for us to realize we are more alike than different. Although our circumstances may be unique, we can share in the empathy that we need each other’s strength and connection. September Letters is a place where we can share our stories and know that someone may just need it in their own pocket.”
