Today’s letter is dedicated to anyone who has felt terrified and uncertain of the next step in life but made the leap anyways. The leap into the unknown. The leap into love. The leap into acceptance. The leap into courage. The leap into grieving. The leap into healing.
I want to make it clear that “making a leap” looks different for everyone and I do not believe it has to be some big life changing event. A leap can be getting out of bed for 5 minutes to brush your teeth. Walking outside to collect your mail. Going to the grocery store when you want to stay home.
The beauty of making a leap is that it can be anything you want it to be. Please trust that no matter how small it may be, it is a leap in the right direction. After all, it is often the small leaps that lead to the big ones!
Writing this letter was my leap. I hope reading it is yours.

I read your letter awhile ago and really was encouraged. I came back to read it again this morning – after a kind of rough night to be honest. Your words really encouraged me again to keep going and take a leap into something new. I’m a little scared but it’s ok. If I face-plant (lots of experience with those) – it will just add a little more character to this old mug o mine. Thanks for the boost!

I needed this. I saw the story of September letters on NBC news and immediately came on here. Thank you. Going to the grocery store feels like a big leap for me sometimes so I really appreciated that! I’ll take keeping leaps every day.
