When I Write…: From Ana

When I write the colors for you
become sharper and take care of me,
day and night harmonize, magic words
they dance – the ones I write and the ones I keep with me-

With words I build dream castles
in the sand of the beach, and I write your name
that the waves carry in their foams,
I light a fire like in the beginnings,
while I wait for the sunrise.

Your image comes to rest beside me,
slightly smooth as I write.
I hear your voice, the words I heard
and the ones that blow my wind now

I love you like I used to, in another time,
I love you without making a fuss,
love you keeping the shine,
the colors, the tones and the life,
I love you without vanity,
no waiting, no return…

It’s like that when I write to you.
The truth does not fade the words
who live in their sonorities
and shapes, castles, rainbow,
birds and birds, goodbyes without end
and start again and again in every lifetime
the vivid lyrics I bring you full of feeling
in the living wheel of time,
for the rest, I miss you.
